Hot Links Pathway expands service to Montreal TORONTO — Pathway Communications, an Internet service provider, has expanded its service into Montreal. It has also become one of the first ISPs not affiliated with Bell Canada to offer ultra high-speed ADSL Internet access. Pathway's service is now available to customers in the 416, 905 and 514 area codes. ADSL based Internet access delivers speeds up to 7 Mbps at prices far lower than those using other technologies. Pathway's 1 Mbps service starts at $249 a month for business users in the Toronto and Montreal area. Sony Electronics reviews dealers NEW YORK — Sony Corp.'s Sony Electronics unit has removed restrictions regarding the online distribution of its televisions, DVD players and camcorders, and has resumed authorizing dealers for Internet sales. Among those authorized to sell Sony products over the Web are Circuit City Stores, Creative Technology's Hifi.com, Crutchfield, Tweeter Home Entertainment Group and Abt Electronics. Dealers were asked to stop Internet sales in May, as Sony decided to review several service and support issues. Job site aimed at Spanish workers MIAMI — Internet start-up Laborum.com is trying to launch a Spanish-language Web site for job seekers throughout the Americas. Laborum said in a news release that investors include Explorador.net, a San Francisco-based venture capital group specializing in Internet enterprises with a focus on Latin America. However, the main owner of Santiago, Chile-based Laborum will still be Seminarium International, an executive training firm with offices in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Brazil.
